The Belleville Senators sailed to a massive 6-1 victory over their rivals, the Toronto Marlies, Friday night at CAA Arena.
Egor Sokolov, Rourke Chartier, Ridly Greig, and Cole Cassels all scored for the Senators.
Neither team was able to claim a goal in the entire first period, however the Senators went wild in the second period, racking up four goals without allowing a single point from the Marlies.
During the third period, the Marlies finally got on the board, but it wasn’t enough as the Senators slipped in two more goals to round out the game.
Head coach Troy Mann said he was impressed with the team’s play.
“I think there were a lot of really good components to our game tonight,” said Mann.
The Senators play in the CAA Arena again on Saturday, facing down the Syracuse Crunch.
