Belleville Police have made arrests in two separate incidents involving weapons, including a hatchet.
Thursday just before 10 p.m., Belleville police were called to Dundas and Front Streets where a man was allegedly waving a knife and acting in an aggressive manner.
Officers located a suspect and found the knife in his possession.
The suspect was also found to be on probation.
Kevin Macfarlane, 35, from Kingston is charged with possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and breaching his probation for failing to keep the peace.
Saturday afternoon, police attended a residence on Bridge Street West where two males were allegedly waving weapons around, one a hatchet, the other a knife.
One of the males was found to have outstanding warrants for assault, assault with a weapon, and fail to comply with a probation order.
Thirty-six-year-old Gordon Green of Belleville was arrested.
Both accused were to appear in court Monday.
It’s been a busy few days for BPS.
In addition to the above calls, police also dealt with a woman losing a finger, another weapons incident and a minor collision involving an ambulance.
