The Trent-Severn Waterway is set to reopen for navigation on Friday.
Parks Canada says all locks will be open starting at 9 a.m.
Several lockstations have been closed this month due to significant amounts of precipitation across the Trent-Severn’s watersheds.
A number of locks in the Peterborough area were closed last week while Parks Canada shut down Lock 1 at Trenton through Lock 18 at Hastings on Monday.
Parks Canada says flows will continue to increase along the Severn River outside of navigation hours until further notice and overnight flows should be considered as non-navigable.
While water levels and flows are on the decline, residents and visitors are asked to continue to exercise extreme caution both on and around the water.
