Belleville Police responded to 80 calls for service over a 24-hour period from 5 a.m. on June 1, 2022 to 5 a.m. on June 2, 2022.
Mischief
On June 1, 2022, at 6:30 a.m., Belleville police responded to a North Front Street business regarding a disturbance between two individuals which resulted in damage to the business window. The investigation revealed enough grounds to arrest and charge 38-year-old Ian Frappier of Belleville with mischief. He was later released on his own recognizance and will appear in court on June 30, 2022, to answer to one count of mischief under $5000.
Drug Charges
On June 1, 2022, at 3:30 .pm., members of the joint Project Renewal Drug Enforcement Team stopped a vehicle in the region in relation to an ongoing investigation. That vehicle stop led to the arrest of a 33-year-old female from Sudbury for the following criminal charges:
- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Cocaine
- Possession of Proceeds of Crime
- Obstruct a Peace Officer
- Fail to Comply with a Court Probation Order
- Fail to Comply with a Court Release Order
- Personation with Intent
The female accused was held at the Belleville Police Service and will appear in court today for a show cause hearing.
