Central Hastings OPP have confirmed a death as a result of Saturday’s storm.
On Saturday around 3:35 p.m., officers were called to a remote area in the Municipality of Marmora and Lake where a man had reportedly gotten caught in the storm and had been struck by a falling tree.
A 58-year-old male was transported to hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
Hastings County Paramedics, Marmora & Lake Fire Department and members of the OPP Emergency Response Team attended to assist.
