Last month was a slower month for the construction business in Quinte West than in February of last year.
Forty-one building permits were issued last month for a total construction value of $5.4 million.
In February of 2021, 54 permits were issued valued at almost $10 million.
Last month most of the construction value came from 10 permits for new residential units worth a total of $3.7 million.
Meanwhile, for the year to date, this year is off to a stronger start than last year with permits valued at $19.2 million being issued compared to $15.1 million in January and February of 2021.
