On February 24, 2022 at 2:36 a.m., Belleville police responded to a report of a stabbing that occurred near the intersection of Bridge Street East and Church Street.
When police arrived, they were advised by the victim and EMS that the male suspect took off towards the downtown area.
Police searched for the suspect but did not locate him.
The victim, a 32-year-old male from Belleville was transported to Belleville General Hospital with a knife wound and was in stable condition.
