A person in distress southeast of the Quinte Sports and Wellness Centre around McFarland Drive received quick help from emergency responders thanks to the Belleville Police Service’s K9-unit.
K9 officer Constable McInroy and Bax the German Shepherd responded to a person-in-distress call around 6 p.m. Thursday evening.
Bax and his handler found the person quickly and care was provided by police and Hastings-Quinte paramedics.
