Prince Edward County Council’s Committee of the Whole is recommending that more residential units be allowed in a proposed big new housing project in the Picton area.
However, the developers of Talbot on the Trail would have to provide over $91,000 to the county to be placed in a reserve fund for affordable housing.
The payment would take the place of green space in the subdivision.
Talbot on the Trail will feature 182 residential units, including townhouses and semi-detached dwellings with a density of 43.4 units per hectare of land, up from the allowed 37 units.
