The Belleville Police Service responded to 80 calls from August 19, 2021 at 5 a.m. to August 20, 2021 at 5 a.m.
Domestic Dispute
On August 19, 2021 shortly after 5 p.m., officers attended an east end address regarding a domestic dispute. Upon arrival police learned that both persons involved were on conditions to not communicate with each other. As a result, a 36-year-old female from Belleville was charged with five counts of breaching a release order and will be held for a bail hearing on August 20, 2021, while a 32-year-old male from Trenton was charged with one count of breaching a release order. He was released from custody with a court date of September 7, 2021. The names are not being released in order to protect the identity of the victim.
Collision
On August 19, 2021 at approximately 4:30 p.m., officers were called to the area of Dundas St. East and Bradgate regarding a single motor vehicle collision. No injuries were reported and the vehicle sustained moderate damage and had to be towed from the scene. No charges are are expected due to the road conditions at the time of the collision.
