Local cyclists pedalled their way to a more than $26,000 donation to the Belleville General Hospital Foundation last weekend.
About 100 riders took part in the Freedom Ride for Health, which was spearheaded by Dr. Shalea Beckwith, Dr. Erin Falconer and Adam Tilley from The Brake Room.
The third annual event saw three separate rides of 16 km, 45 km and 70 km and was sponsored by Pioneer Health Care.
Through its three year history, the Freedom Ride for Health has raised close to $55,000 towards the purchase of priority medical equipment at BGH.
