A 14-year-old Quinte West girl was charged after a stabbing incident in Frankford Sunday night (July 24).
Quinte West OPP responded shortly after 9 p.m. to Tourist Park Road.
There they found a 16-year-old girl who had to be taken to hospital after being wounded in the stomach and chest.
A suspect had left the scene was but was located afterward and charged with assault with a weapon, assault causing bodily harm, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, and uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm.
Police say the victim and suspect were known to each other.
