Motor Vehicle Collision
On July 14, 2021 at 3 p.m., officers responded to a three-car crash near the intersection of North Front St and Valleyview Crescent. Traffic was snarled in the area for about an hour as the scene was investigated. One person was transported to hospital with minor injuries. One of the drivers involved was charged with careless driving. Two vehicles were towed from the scene.
Theft from Front Door
Belleville Police are reminding homeowners to take precautions to safeguard packages that are delivered to homes and left at the front door. On July 14, an east end resident had a package stolen. These reports are received by police almost every day, with many of packages being reported as valuable.
Disturbance
On July 14, 2021 at about 9:15 p.m., police attended on Bridge St E on the report of a male acting disorderly. Investigation revealed a male had been yelling and swearing at people near a store. The suspect was located nearby and was arrested. Dwayne Redcliffe (54 years of age) of Belleville has a court date in September for causing a disturbance.
