Hockey Canada has come calling for both the Women’s and Men’s Under-18 Hockey Program Camp, and there are some local connection.
Belleville’s Donovan McCoy is one of 45 players listed for the camp, which begins July 25 in Calgary.
He is a 15th overall pick on the 2020 1st round of the OHL Priority selection, to the Peterborough Petes.
He says, “It’s an honour to be invited. As a kid, you dream of playing in the World Juniors, and being named to the U17 and now U18, it means everything to put on a Canada sweater.” – Credit to Peterborough Petes
Brighton’s Sarah Roger is one of 46 invited to the Women’s Camp. The 16-year-old is part of the Kingston Ice Wolves program.
Belleville’s Hanna Bunton is serving as Coordinator of Hockey Operations for the Women’s Camp.
