One person was to appear for a bail hearing Friday after police were called to break up a family dispute in Batawa.
Quinte West OPP responded to a report of a family dispute in progress on Sidney Crescent in Batawa around 9:30 Thursday morning.
Police investigation led to the arrest of one of the involved persons.
The accused allegedly resisted arrest and assaulted the officer.
The officer was treated in hospital for minor injuries.
A 30-year-old male from Trenton was charged with assaulting a peace officer and assault with intent to resist arrest.
