Quinte West Public Library is coming out of the COVID-19 pandemic year with a new brand.
It has a new logo and visual identity and has increased offerings of digital resources to include magazines, online learning opportunities, as well as non-traditional loanable items such as board games and park passes.
CEO Suzanne Humphreys says the symbol of a book, unfolding to become a butterfly, is a nod to the ever-evolving services.
“To remind our community that we’re always and ever-evolving service and always kind of meeting the needs of our community as our community changes.”
The library opens Wednesday as part of Phase Two of the province’s roadmap to recovery, but capacity will be limited.
Humphrey indicates capacity will be limited, and visitors are required to wear masks and maintain physical distances.
“We can’t wait to welcome the public back in our spaces to browse the shelves, use our computers and access our wifi. This is great timing as we launch our summer programming for all ages. Our programs will be a combination of online content and activities to pick up and participate in at home.”
For more information about all the Quinte West Public Library has to offer, you can go to the website quintewest.ca, call 613-394-3381 or follow the library on social media.
If you are unable to go into the building for any reason, you can contact the library. Library staff indicate they will ensure that everyone can still access library material by pickup or delivery.
