Bancroft OPP seized a variety of drugs as well as weapons, cash and stolen property after executing a search warrant in Faraday Township.
OPP along with the East Region Community Street Crime Unit, the Emergency Response Team and Canine Unit executed the warrant at a Faraday Township property Wednesday.
Police say they seized an unspecified amount of suspected fentanyl, cocaine, crystal methamphetamine, oxycodone and ecstasy as well as the cash, weapons and stolen property.
As a result, two people from Bancroft and one person from Coe Hill are facing charges.
Thirty-one-year-old Kyle Hunt of Bancroft is charged with:
- Possession of a schedule one substance for the purpose of trafficking – five counts
- Possession of a schedule three substance for the purpose of trafficking – one count
- Unauthorized possession of a weapon – two counts
- Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000
Twenty-six-year-old Sharayah Woodcock, also of Bancroft, is charged with:
- Possession of a schedule one substance for the purpose of trafficking
- Fail to comply with a release order – three counts
Twenty-four-year-old Shawnia Beamish of Coe Hill is charged with one count of possession for the purpose of trafficking.
Hunt and Woodcock have bail hearings Wednesday in Belleville and Beamish was released with a court date set for July 13 in Bancroft.
