Summer nights are lit up in Belleville’s Downtown District.
As part of the Downtown Belleville Business Improvement Area’s Al Fresco promotion, five interactive LED installations have been set up throughout Front Street.
They are designed by Canadian-based company x.events.
The installations include a large PLAY sign at the corner of Front and Pinnacle, the archway at Bridge and Front and the light up tunnel at Victoria and Front.
There are also LED couches and light up swings within the street closure on Front Street.
BIA Executive Director Luisa Sorrentino encourages people to post photos of themselves enjoying the light installations and Al Fresco on social media.
The lighted attractions will remain downtown until August 9.
As part of Al Fresco, the downtown features expanded pedestrian walkways, extended patios and, of course, downtown shopping.
As the province continues its reopening plan, there will eventually be live music and some special theme nights.
