Belleville police responded to 64 calls for service between 5 a.m. on March 30, 2021 and 5 a.m. on March 31, 2021.
Arrest on Warrants
On March 30, 2021 at 7:30 p.m., police observed a male walking on North Front St. The officer recognized the male as Austin Cooney, a 26-year-old Belleville resident. The officer had information that the male had an outstanding warrant for failing to attended for fingerprints as per his prior release, on an appearance notice. The original appearance notice was for theft under $5000. He was arrested and transported to the Belleville Police Service. Once he was processed he was released on an undertaking with a court date of April 22, 2021.
Breach of Release Order
On March 31, 2021 at 1 a.m. police observed two passengers in the rear of a taxi on Octavia St. The passengers were not wearing seatbelts. The officer spoke to the passengers and one of the males admitted that he was breaching his judicial release. Brandon Beadreau, a 24-year-old Belleville resident was arrested and charged with breaching his Judicial Release by not being in his residence between the specified hours. He was released on an undertaking with a court date of April 19, 2021.
