Tyler Allsopp will be sworn in and ready to go when Belleville Council’s regular meeting begins on Monday afternoon.
The new councillor, who was chosen to fill the vacant seat of late Councillor Pat Culhane, will be sworn in to the position by City Clerk Matt MacDonald at 10:00 Monday morning.
That means it’ll be business as usual for councillors when their closed session begins at 3:00 p.m. and Allsopp joins them around the table.
The open session of council begins at 4:00 p.m. with councillors set to discuss renovations to the Council Chambers, alternative voting methods for the next election, a potential outdoor recreation centre and more.
