The Provincial Government is giving area municipalities a total of $8.5 million to be put towards various road, bridge, water and wastewater project.
Bay of Quinte MPP Todd Smith made the announcement today, with the cash being split four ways and the City of Quinte West getting the biggest chunk at a little more than $4.1 million.
Belleville will get just over $3.2 million, Prince Edward County just over $1.1 million and then $50,000 to towns in Hastings County, that are part of the Bay of Quinte Riding.
The money comes from the Ontario Community Infrastructure Fund, which the province says will provide about $200 million across Ontario this year, to address various infrastructure and planning needs.
