Ontario’s Minister of Education was on the Lorne Brooker Show Monday morning.
Stephen Lecce discussed the opening of a number of schools in southeastern Ontario, including everywhere around Quinte.
” … recognizing lower rates of community transition within them, giving the sign-off to reopen for those 100,000 students based on those broader trends within your community, appreciating what is happening in your community is not exactly linear with what is happening in Windsor, Toronto, or Ottawa.”
He says the medical advice they have been given is showing them how critical it is to get children back in school as soon as it is safe to do so.
