Quinte West’s Planning Advisory Committee is recommending council sign off on a subdivision agreement allowing houses to be built on
land where the Bay of Quinte golf course’s clubhouse once stood.
When all conditions are met, the developer plans to build six houses along Old Highway 2 on the bayshore not far west of Belleville.
Also at its meeting last night the planning committee recommended council approve zoning changes allowing a 16-home development near 255 Huffman Road just northwest of Frankford.
The developer still needs to receive further approvals from various agencies before a final subdivision agreement could be reached, but hopes to start building next year.
