There are four new cases of COVID-19 and one new workplace outbreak in Hastings Prince Edward today.
The HPE Public Health Unit is reporting the new cases brings the number of active cases locally up to 39 as there have been nine recoveries since yesterday.
A new workplace outbreak was also declared in Belleville, with six cases related there.
Seventeen cases of the virus are linked to the outbreak at P&G.
Two of the new cases were transmitted through close contact and are outbreak-related and the other two are listed as pending.
The majority of cases reported over the past week are centered around Belleville, with the remainder of cases spread between the two counties.
The seven day case rate per 100,000 people is now 22.0.
In Northumberland County, the Haliburton Kawartha, Pine Ridge Health Unit is reporting three new cases and have two recoveries.
The total number of active cases there is now 28. Four people remain in hospital.
In Hastings Prince Edward, the School Board has confirmed a case of the virus at CML Snider in Wellington. There is also one case of the virus at Stirling Public School affecting a student.
One student and a staff member at East Northumberland Secondary School have confirmed cases of the virus.
There is also one confirmed case of COVID-19 at Hillcrest Public School in Trent Hills affecting a student according to the province’s school and child care reporting site.
