East Northumberland Secondary School in Brighton has an outbreak of COVID-19.
This week the school has announced that a second individual within the school community has come down with the virus.
Officials with the school and the school board say the unnamed individual is at home until they are given the green light to return to class.
An outbreak is declared when one person reasonably acquires the virus from within the school.
According to the provincial government’s school reporting website, there is one student and one staff member who have confirmed cases of the virus.

Classes continue and the school is open.
