Brighton council will be asked to set a tax increase target at its meeting tonight (Tuesday).
Staff is asking that council approve a target of an overall 4% blended tax increase.
The increase would include not only a municipal increase, but also increases coming from Northumberland County and the education system along with a small increase in capital spending.
Last year, council approved a budget with a 3.5% blended increase.
Brighton council meets virtually tonight at 6:30.
