A 28-year-old from Prince Edward County has been charged after police say they had to chase down a suspicious vehicle last night.
Officers responding to a call on County Road 1 noticed the vehicle around 10:30 p.m., leading to a brief chase.
OPP say the officer slowed down for safety reasons and followed at a distance, with the suspect vehicle eventually going off the road and into a farm field, crashing into some brush.
Nobody was in the car when the officer caught up to it, but three people were found nearby and Ryan Hale was charged with flight from police, driving without insurance and using unauthorized plates.
He was released with conditions and will appear in Picton Court on September 23.
