OPP marine officers laid a couple of charges in Quinte West on the weekend.
Police were called after reports of a speeding boat in the Murray Canal, around 9:00 Saturday night and ended up charging a 27-year-old from Murray Ward with operating a power driven vessel over maximum speed, according to the Canada Shipping act.
Then on Sunday around 5:00 p.m., officers responded to an impaired boating complaint and located the boat and driver at the Fraser Park Marina.
A 34-year-old from Trenton was charged with impaired operation and operation while prohibited.
They were released from custody with a June 18 court date.
