Hastings County staff say a COVID-19 outbreak at Hastings Manor is over.
Officials with Hastings Prince Edward Public Health say the implementation of public health measures including proactive testing have helped to limit the spread of the virus.
County Warden Rick Phillips says despite the outbreak being over, “it’s not business as usual” and that the top priority remains keeping residents safe.
He says the Hastings Manor senior leadership team will begin to actively plan how to reintroduce some forms of communal activities that “support residents’ social needs while safeguarding their health”.
