Prince Edward County has recieved some Federal Government cash to improve experiences for tourists and improve economic growth.
MP Neil Ellis announced a $300,000 grant Friday for the “Experience the County” initiative, with the money going towards service development, market readiness training and gateway signage, to improve the sustainability of tourism year-round and attract more people to the area during off-peak seasons.
The money comes from the FedDev Ontario Canadian Experiences Fund, supporting creation or enhancement of tourism products, facilities and services.
