A former Prince Edward County resident, now living in Northern Ontario, has been charged with fraud by the OPP.
Investigators say an official from the Lehigh Cement Plant contacted them in January of this year about some alleged fraudulent behaviour by a former maintenance manager.
Police looked into the case and have charged 53-year-old Michael James Fielder with fraud over $5,000, obtaining a credit card by false pretenses or fraud, and falsification of books and documents with fraudulent intent.
Fielder, who now lives in Ear Falls Township just east of the Manitoba boundary, will answer to the charges in Picton Court at the end of May.
