Belleville Senators rookie forward Josh Norris has been named the CCM/AHL Player of the Month for February.
The 20 year-old from Oxford Michigan notched 16 points in nine games during the month, including six goals and 10 assists, as Belleville skated to a record of nine wins, three regulation losses and one overtime loss.
Norris, who was originally drafted 19th overall by the San Jose Sharks in 2017 and was traded to Ottawa last season, also made is NHL debut for the Senators last month and played three games, before being returned to Belleville.
He becomes the third B-Sens player to win a league award this season, after Vitaly Abramov and Filip Gustavsson were also recognized.
Belleville is coming off back-to-back wins in Cleveland last weekend and begins a crucial stretch of games this week against the Toronto Marlies on Wednesday, then the Rochester Americans on Friday and Saturday.
