Two people with no fixed address are facing charges after Lennox and Addington OPP made a traffic stop Wednesday night.
A patrol officer noticed a vehicle with expired plates, on Centre Street around 10:00 p.m. and pulled the car over.
The officers found a prohibited weapon and illegal tobacco in the car and investigators say the driver only had a G1 licence and the passenger wasn’t qualified to accompany her.
Thirty-year-old Stephanie Marie Heaslip is charged with having a G1 while not being with a qualified driver, along with unauthorized possession of a weapon.
The passenger, 36-year-old Shane Murray Taylor, was also charged with unauthorized possession of a weapon, as well as possession of a firearm or ammunition while prohibited.
Both were held for bail hearings today.
