It seems that drivers aren’t getting the message about excessive speeding on Highway 401.
Northumberland OPP say they charged four drivers with street racing on a section of the highway in Port Hope, between Christmas Day and New Year’s Eve.
The drivers, who range in age between 25 and 39 years old, were caught going between 157 km/h and 170 km/h on the highway and have all been handed seven day licence suspensions and had their vehicles impounded for a week.
Investigators say three of the drivers were from the Cobourg/Port Hope area and the fourth was from Toronto.
