A New Year’s Day traffic stop has led to charges against a 30-year-old man from Bancroft.
Lennox and Addington OPP stopped the car on the eastbound 401, around 10:30 Wednesday morning and laid five charges after investigating the driver.
The charges include obstructing a peace officer, possession of opioids, taking a motor vehicle without consent, driving while prohibited, and two counts of breaching recognizance.
Officers ended up towing the vehicle involved and say Lawrence Harvey O’Brien was scheduled for a bail hearing in Napanee Court today.
