Homes in the Quinte Region have been searched and arrests have been made, as part of a joint police drug raid that saw the seizure of drugs, guns and other weapons.
Officers from Peterborough City Police and various OPP detachments executed 13 search warrants on properties early yesterday morning, including nine in the Peterborough area, three in the Quinte area and one in Scarborough, as well as seven warrants on vehicles.
Officers found significant amounts of cash, cocaine, fentanyl, methamphetamine and weapons, including six hand guns.
Investigators say they won’t be releasing the names of the accused until after their court dates today, and that total values and amounts of cash and drugs seized are still being determined.
An update is expected tomorrow.
