An area of Colborne is under OPP control after a serious assault last night.
Northumberland OPP were called to Victoria Square, around 6:00 p.m., where a 50-year-old Colborne man had allegedly been assaulted and was found with a significant head wound.
He was taken to a local hospital by paramedics and then air lifted to a Toronto trauma centre for further treatment.
Investigators are still on the scene along with the OPP Crime Unit and Central Region Forensics Unit and will be there until further notice.
The victim’s name is being withheld, but police are looking for a suspect and anyone who might have information can contact OPP or Crimestoppers.
