The customers at an east end Belleville store are helping the less fortunate stay warm again from head to toe this winter.
Over 1,500 pairs of warm socks have been sold to customers of TSC The Incredible Country Hardware Store along with dozens of toques.
A toque was just a toonie and a pair of socks only a loonie.
All of the socks and toques will be donated to the  Belleville Salvation Army.
In the first year of the program just over 1,000 pairs of socks were sold in Belleville and the TSC’s management liked it so much that socks and toques
are now being sold at each of its 50 stores provincewide with local Salvation Army Corps benefitting.
The campaign continues until the end of February.
