Peterborough OPP are investigating a collision that shut down County Road 44 for several hours on the weekend.
Police and emergency crews were called to assist a man who had lost control of his off-road vehicle on Saturday night around 10 p.m.
He wasn’t wearing a helmet at the time of the collision say police.
The man was taken to hospital with serious injuries before being airlifted to a trauma center.
The road was closed while collision reconstructionists documented the scene.
The cause of the collision remains under investigation.
