Residential listings continue to be up in the Quinte Region, but home sales numbers continue to drop.
The Quinte and District Association of Realtors says there was an increase of 6.9% in the number of homes listed in May, compared to the same month last year, but a drop of 9.1% in residential dollar sales, to just over $132 million.
About 70 fewer homes were sold last month, compared to May 2017, which is a drop of about 14.6%.
The drop in sales could be related to the rise in average prices for a home, which is now up to more than $326,000.
