A major infrastructure project in an expanding part of urban Belleville officially got underway Monday morning.
City councillors, staff and employees of Mulrooney Trucking held a ground-breaking ceremony
this morning near the intersection of Mineral Road and Maitland Drive.
Work on the 12 million dollar project will be handled by Mulrooney Trucking Ltd.
The project will feature the extension of city water and sewer services into the area and will set the stage for future development
east of Highway 62.
Residents and drivers alike will be much happier when the work is complete as there will be new pavement, curbs and gutters, sidewalks
and landscaping.
Traffic flow will be eased by a roundabout at Maitland Drive and Farnham Road.
The project should be done by the middle of next year.
