The Pentecostals of Quinte stepped up once again in typical fashion, giving back to the community.
To begin Good Friday/Easter weekend celebrations in the region, the POQ held their annual Prayer Breakfast, which this year raised money for the new homeless shelter coming to Belleville.
Grace Inn Board of Directors Chair Jodie Jenkins says the Pentecostals of Quinte, and churches/groups like them, have been instrumental in assisting the shelter become a reality.
Pentecostals of Quinte Lead Pastor Shawn Stickler says the church was thrilled to support the Grace Inn Shelter.
The fundraiser is expected to generate thousands of dollars, but a total has not been released.
A demolition permit has been issued for the interior of the shelter, and Jenkins expects Grace Inn to be in operation before the first snow flies later this year.
