The annual Sunshine List has been released, documenting public sector employees in the province who made more than $100,000, in 2017.
Belleville has 126 people on the list, leading all Quinte-area municipalities, with the highest paid employees being former police chief Cory Mackay ($199,311.52) and her successor Ron Gignac ($194,558.92).
In Quinte West, 29 people were on the list, led by CAO Charlie Murphy ($169,765.97) and in Prince Edward County CAO James Hepburn ($178,793.38) topped the list of 15 people.
At least 120 local healthcare workers are on the annual Sunshine List.
Ninety-three of those people work for Quinte Health Care and 28 work with the Local Health Integration Network.
At QHC, President and CEO Mary Clare Egberts made the most ($329,734.31), while the LHIN was also led by its top boss, CEO Paul Huras ($330,479.67).
A little more than 305 education workers in the Quinte Region made more than $100,000 in 2017.
One hundred sixty-five employees of the Hastings and Prince Edward School Board cracked the list, led by Director of Education Mandy Savery-Whiteway ($199,597.50).
Director of Education Jody DiRocco ($216,982.94) led the list of 105 Algonquin and Lakeshore Catholic School Board workers.
And of the 35 employees at Loyalist College on the list, President Dr. Anne Marie Vaughan is on top ($237,012.00).
There is a total of almost 600 people on the list, between the three major municipalities, two main school boards, Loyalist College, Quinte Healthcare and the South East LHIN.
