Plans are underway to create a method for distributing Belleville’s casino money that’s designated for social issues.
This is five percent of the money that Belleville receives from the casino revenue.
That account sits at about $149,000 right now.
The city’s Grant Committee Chair Councillor Mitch Paniuk says council will be asked next week to have the grant committee distribute those funds.

Panciuk admits it will be difficult to choose.
Next week, the Grant Committee will also review applications for some of the $25,000 which is set aside for the Arts, from the city’s Veridian Connections funds.
