Brighton council has accepted an offer to buy land in its new industrial park from a company wishing to build a marijuana growing facility.
Council approved the sale of slightly under five acres of land to Gnome Works Inc.
In Brighton, serviced industrial land is sold at $35,000 an acre.
Gnome Works intends to build a 57,000 square foot building in two phases.
In full operation it’s estimated the company would employ eight full-time and 15 part-time workers.
