Things will be brighter at the Quinte Sports and Wellness Centre this year if city council approves a staff recommendation at its meeting this afternoon (Monday).
City staff is recommending that council accept a bid from local company, Torbram Electric, to design, supply, and install LED lighting at the Sports and Wellness Centre.
Torbram’s bid was the only qualified one, and came in at $477,346 plus HST.
The LED lighting would be installed everywhere but in the Yardmen Arena and in the pool area, where the lighting is already up to date.
