Calling on young aspiring ice fishers, the Cops, Kids and Ice Fishing Derby is coming back.
The 2nd annual event, hosted by the Belleville Police Service, goes from 9 a.m to noon on Saturday just off the Herchimer Boat launch on the Bay of Quinte.
The event is free to all kids. Drilled holes and bait will be provided.
Hot chocolate, coffee and Timbits will also be served.
No pre-registration is required, but you’re reminded to show up and dress for weather conditions.
A reminder that the event is contingent on ice and weather conditions on Saturday.
