February 24th and 25th is guaranteed to be a weekend of fun here in Belleville but before Rogers Hometown Hockey takes over, the Chamber of Commerce is asking for some help.
They are trying to gather as many videos and pictures as possible of people in our community loving our city.
The Bay of Quinte Regional Marketing Board and the Chamber have just launched the BellevilleBucket List campaign – take a picture or video wearing a Hometown Hockey button doing something you shouldn’t miss doing while you’re here.
Post it to social media using #BellevilleON for a chance to win some great prizes.
Leading up to the main event on Sunday evening are two days of fun-filled, family-friendly, hockey-hyper activities and events across from City Hall.
The Armouries have partnered with the Belleville Chamber of Commerce to provide a warming station and additional activities indoors.
Belleville’s Satellite Rotary kicks off the weekend on the Friday night with their 2nd annual “Hockey Night in Quinte” raising funds to support “Kids in Sports”.
The BDIA is also hosting their annual Savour the Chill event on Saturday, February 24 along with free horse-drawn trolley rides!
Fair Trade Works has made their lot (former site of Hotel Quinte) available for event parking on the weekend and City Transit is considering shuttles to the downtown (details to be confirmed).
Rogers Hometown Activity team also coordinates a school visit. We would invite any teacher interested in having their school/class considered for the visit to reach out directly to the Chamber. An extensive curriculum package has been developed that any teacher in the primary & junior grades might be interested in as well.
The search for volunteers and brand ambassadors for the weekend continues and if you’re interested in helping out, there will be a number of opportunities available.
