UPDATE: OPP say a section of Harbour Street, between Ontario Street and Edgewater Drive is closed until further notice, as their investigators and the Ontario Fire Marshal look over the scene.

It was a very tough Wednesday morning in Brighton, following a fire which has taken the lives of two people.
A neighbour beside 133 Harbour Street called 911, after spotting flames coming out of the home around 7 a.m.
Grant Flemming tells Quinte News, a married couple in their 60s lived in the home, which they rented.
Brighton Fire, OPP and EMS responded to the scene.

Crews knocked the flames down in about an hour, then dealt with hot spots.
Two dozen firefighters were called to the scene, with Cramahe Township and Trent Hills Fire working on standby for the municipality.
A cause of the blaze is yet to be determined.
