2017 was a big year for Canada and the federal government.
As we continue to look back at the year that was, we talked with MP Neil Ellis about what stood out.
Ellis says the main highlight to him was Canada’s 150th birthday.
Ellis recently handed out Canada 150 coins to residents in the Bay of Quinte riding who make a big difference.
Ellis says with the arrival of the Shorelines Casino Belleville, major infrastructure projects and the AHL Senators moving into Quinte, 2017 is a year to celebrate.
He says the base, the local wineries and the great fishing and waterways, the Bay of Quinte area is thriving.
